WHAT IS UC SHIP? 🤔

• UC SHIP (UC Student Health Insurance Plan) is UCLA’s Health Insurance. All students are required to be enrolled in a qualified health insurance plan in order to register at UCLA. Undergraduates who do not have a qualifying plan are AUTOMATICALLY enrolled in the UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP).

What if I already have health insurance?! 😡

🚨🚨If you already have health insurance and you plan to keep it, please pay attention to the deadlines to decline UC SHIP or you may have complications with your original insurance.🚨🚨

**New Students will receive information about the UC SHIP on your first Bruin Bill.

**If you choose to decline UC SHIP, then you will have to fill out a UC SHIP waiver form so you are not automatically enrolled in it. THE DEADLINE to fill out the Waiver is September 20th, 2019.
