Student Talar Kevorkian transferred from Santa Monica College. She identifies as Armenian, is a commuter and is currently studying Sociology with a minor in Labor and Workplace Studies.

Talar:

"I chose UCLA because of the numerous resources, programs, and amazing opportunities it offers its students. Higher education offers students the ability to acquire more knowledge that they can then take and apply in the real world. It gives students the opportunity to reach their long-term goals and succeed to their utmost abilities."

"As a transfer student, I love being involved! I serve as the Executive Vice President for Tau Sigma, Public Relations Chair of UCLA's Pre-Dental Society, Vice President and Academic Chair of Alpha Gamma Alpha, and am an active member of Pre-Dental Student Outreach Program(PDSOP), Students United for America's Toothfairy(SUAT), Armenian Students' Association, and Golden Key International Honour Society. I also work as the Social Media and Marketing Intern for the Bruin Resource Center! After I graduate, I plan on taking the Dental Admission Test and applying to dental school."

Thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts Talar!!!
