Student Michael Delos Santos transferred from Diablo Valley College. He is currently majoring in History with a minor in Film. In addition, Michael likes being involved with film projects and enjoys screenwriting. He is a proud Transfer Bruin!! Michael loves giving back to families and other communities, and being involved with research.
As a first-generation student, Michael shares the benefits of being a UCLA transfer!
Michael:
"It is beneficial to be a transfer student because in community college, you have a chance to figure out what you want to do without spending a large amount. Financially you can save up and be prepared to take upper division courses once you transfer. You also have an idea of what you want to do once you transfer."
"I am involved in PISA (Pacific Islander Student Association), Samahang Pilipino, (PTSP) Pilipino Transfer Student Partnership, UCLA Pre-Law Transfer Society. My plans after I graduate is to attend grad school to earn my Masters and Ph.D and be involved in the film industry."
