Student Nicole Tishbi transferred from Santa Monica College! She is a commuter and is currently majoring in Financial Actuarial Mathematics. She is super passionate about health and fitness and absolutely loves Hot Yoga at CorePower! She has a dog named Bamba that she loves going hiking with.
Nicole shares some tips to prospective transfers!!
Nicole:
"One of the best tips I can give to incoming transfers is to keep calm and try to go to as many social events as possible. Don’t be so hard on yourself the first quarter because it takes a while to adjust to the system! As a kid growing up in Westwood, I was always on campus and cannot believe that I’m here as a student today. I’m President of the Transfer Undergraduate Students of Hillel (TUSH), volunteer as a member of Swipe Out Hunger, participate as an active committee me never of Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and am a member of Student Accounting Society (SAS)."
In addition, she lived in Israel this past summer for two months and interned at the world’s largest company selling trademarks and patents. She worked as a data analyst to find trends and present business strategies at weekly conferences!
